Bayern Munich are Germany's most successful club and one of Europe's continuous elite. Thirty-four-time German champions and six-time European Cup / Champions League winners, they set the modern German record with 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles from 2013 to 2023.

Founded in 1900, Bayern's first golden era came under Franz Beckenbauer in the 1970s with three consecutive European Cups (1974-76). The Louis van Gaal / Jupp Heynckes era of the 2010s produced the 2013 treble, and the 2020 Champions League triumph under Hansi Flick completed a second sextuple within seven years.

Bayern remain the standard of the Bundesliga after Bayer Leverkusen's 2023-24 title interruption. Head coach Vincent Kompany is rebuilding the tactical identity around Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise while integrating a younger defensive core.
